About Us

Fox Middle School

Mascot: Braves

Colors: Red & White

Named after: Charles Fox - originally sold the land to the district in the 1940’s.

Date Opened: 1950

Summary: Fox Middle was the original building in the district after the district consolidated in 1948.  The facade that faces Jeffco and “Fox School” sign have not changed since the school opened. The cornerstone near the gym entrance says that part of the building was constructed in 1952.  There have been several major additions since then including classrooms, our music center, cafeteria, library, and FACS room. In addition to our students, FMS also houses the district ACE and Missouri Options programs.  FMS takes pride in our sharing leadership with our students and in being active in the community. We are the only two time National School of Character in the district and one of only a handful of schools nationwide to receive that recognition twice.
